One of South Korean artist Seo Young-deok’s hyperrealistic welded chain sculptures of the human body, on show now at the MB&F M.A.D Gallery in Geneva
South Korean artist Seo Young-deok’s collection of contemporary sculptures made from welded chain comes alive at Geneva’s MB&F M.A.D. Gallery. The LINK exhibition, which runs until September, explores the repression of human feelings in a materialistic and industrialised world through pieces such as the Nirvana 37 (featured) — limited to only 20 pieces — whose face evokes stillness and a state of nirvana despite its shambolic weave of stainless-steel chains.
