Fendi introduces a new squarish proportion with the debut of the Baguette Messenger in the Autumn/winter 2021 men’s collection. What’s remarkable about this new-gen interpretation is the use of Econyl nylon, which is 100 per cent regenerated from plastic waste. While it’s not the first time the Roman luxury house has tapped on the innovative fibre (some pieces in the Autumn/winter 2020 skiwear collection were made from the material), Fendi’s continued use of it reinforces the brand’s commitment to progressively replace virgin fossil-based synthetic fibres with sustainable recycled alternatives and therefore reduce the impact on the environment. The Econyl on the Baguette Messenger comes padded, paired with matching tone-on-tone painted hardware, and is elevated with sophisticated Cuoio Romano leather accents. This new bag is a luxurious low-key hero oozing urban ease as it holds your essentials and more, minus the weight.
