Hermès’ Arceau The Three Graces reinterprets the wildlife theme of the silk scarf designed by British artist Alice Shirley in 2020. Crafted in wood marquetry, the giraffe is realised using 195 tiny wood cut-outs to form its portrait. The decor comes to life as successive layers of micro-painting are applied with a brush and heat-dried in a kiln to form the various layers of the background vegetation. Driving the 38mm model with a diamond-set white gold bezel is the Hermès H1912 mechanical self-winding movement, while a blue sapphire alligator strap tops off the stunning showpiece.
