2022 HSBC WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
The 2022 edition of HSBC’S flagship golf tournament hosted annually in Singapore was a resounding success for not just the bank and its prestigious partners, but also for advancing the role of women in golf and driving a sustainable future for the game. Known as “Asia’s Major”, this year’s four-day event took place from March 3 to 6 at the renowned Tanjong Course at Sentosa Golf Club. The field saw some of the best LPGA players in the world, showcasing an impressive line-up of champions like Danielle Kang, Lydia Ko, Leona Maguire, Esther Henseleit and Hannah Green. The competition went down to the wire, with the South Korean world number one Jin Young Ko edging out Minjee Lee and In Gee Chun by a two-shot margin. She clinched the trophy with a final score of 6-under par 66 for a total of 17-under on aggregate. Some of the championship’s key partners were Singapore Tourism Board, Singapore Airlines, Lexus and Rolex.
