COUTURE INSPIRED

Since 2014, Dior Joaillerie’s artistic director Victoire de Castellane has paid tribute to Monsieur Dior’s hallmark haute couture dresses and architectural suits through her Archi Dior collection. This year, the jewellery line welcomes eight new pieces, three of which are inspired by the famous Bar suit. First presented in 1947 with a pleated black wool swing skirt and a Shantung jacket with soft curves and a peplum to emphasise a wasp waist, the sculptural design became an emblematic Dior look. The bejewelled incarnations include a dazzling diamond necklace and bracelet in white gold. Completing the parure are fan-shaped earrings set with pear-cut diamonds that may also be worn as simple studs. There are also three new Archi Dior Milieu du Siècle creations. Evoking a dragonfly’s wing, the irregular links with sparkling brilliant-cut diamonds on the necklace and bracelet feature an oval diamond centre stone, while the earrings comprise four rings with full diamond pavé and an oval diamond.
