CATCH ’EM ALL

-

Picture a colourful wonderland with 72 rainbow doors, nearly 1km of drapes and a massive 9m-tall bouncy castle. Welcome to Kim & Kyden’s Karnival: the spectacular birthday bash of It girl and beauty entrepreneur Kim Lim and her son Kyden, whose July birthdays are mere days apart. The Pokémonthemed birthday celebration was made to look like a traditional carnival, replete with popcorn and candy floss stands, a ball pit and a variety of entertainment, including arcade video games and a custom-made Human Claw Machine that doubled as a ride. Located at The Barracks Hotel in Sentosa, the specially constructed space by event organiser Lelian Chew took a total of 10 days to build. DJ Chris set the atmosphere for the party as guests feasted on lunch prepared by the hotel. Kim had multiple personalised cakes by her favourite bakery Creme Maison, while Kyden enjoyed his favourite candy treats and ice-cream sandwiches. Among the 250 guests were celebrities from Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Hong Kong, as well as local influencers. In the spirit of spreading cheer, the carnival was also extended by a day so that 50 guests from North East Community Development Council, Sso@tampines, as well as Boys’ Town could also join in the festivities. Happy birthday, Kim and Kyden!
