PURE ARTISTRY
Boucheron’s new high jewellery collection – Carte Blanche, Ailleurs – aims to reveal all the beauty of nature, as evidenced in this awe-inspiring Galet Diamant Necklace that melds the organic soft curves of white pebbles with the earth’s hardest material, diamonds.
MOST VALUABLE
Priced in excess of Є680,000 (about S$949,400), this is the collection’s most expensive piece with 51.4 carats of diamonds.
LABOUR INTENSIVE
To achieve lightness and wearability, every white marble pebble was hollowed out to 1.5mm thickness with titanium tools specially made for each one. The challenge: ensuring the thickness and integrity of the pebbles.
GET CONNECTED
The links between pebbles had to be hidden, which led to the creation of “invisible” white gold attachment systems that pierce each pebble to link it to the next.
PLACE OF ORIGIN
All the pebbles on this necklace were procured from an unnamed Greek island, after Boucheron analysed the chemical composition of the final selected type and found its origins.
