Seven Fold

Robb Report Singapore - - The Bespoke Issue -

This Japanese-run Florentine company specialises, as the name suggests, in sevenfold ties. Here, rather than inserting an inner lining to give thickness, a single piece of cloth is expertly folded seven times, creating a tie of exceptional weight and drape. Seven Fold offers this connoisseurial sartorial essential either in a selection of ready-made styles, or created bespoke in a cloth and to a length and width of your choosing.

Founder Kengi Kaga is heavily influenced by the late-1940s ‘golden era’ of menswear, and his ties are distinguished by an unusual approach to cloth, often utilising fabrics such as hopsack wool/cotton, slubby wool/silk/linen, and thick vintage silks with a matte finish and dry texture, resulting in a look and feel that is utterly unique. www.sevenfold.it
