TYE Shoemaker
When it comes to bespoke shoes and boots, few cordwainers match up to the design dexterities of Japan’s TYE Shoemaker. Yohei Shiwamura and Tsyoshi Ohno’s footwear (for both women and men) is crafted from premium hides including vegetable tanned leather, box and baby calf, and an array of exotics – if you’d like, you could have yours charmingly finished with dramatic leather straps or Cheviot tweed. At least three fittings are required to complete the shoemaking process with TYE, one of which will involve you trying a prototype of your dream shoes. Bespoke services are priced at ¥324,000 onwards. www.tyeshoemaker.com
