Robb Report Singapore - - Ultimate Gift Guide - By ALLISA NOR AINI

f there’s one way to keep a guitar enthusiast on the edge of his seat, it’s by presenting a swanky, fully customised electric guitar right before his eyes. Have someone in mind who would genuinely appreciate this thoughtful gesture but not too sure how you can get your hands on said guitar? You might want to sit down and have a chat with the amicable folks from Swee Lee, Asia’s leading online retailer and distributor of musical instruments and proaudio brands.

The journey of formulating the longawaited dream guitar from scratch begins with Swee Lee Music’s By Appointment Only service at Swee Lee’s flagship store at The Star Vista. Here, in-house client consultant Yadni will acquaint you with an extensive list of customisation options to choose from, including various components such as colour, choice of wood, shape, inlay, pick-ups, patterns, fret spacing and even the type of nuts and bolts which could help differentiate your guitar from the masses.

Custom-built guitars are painstakingly handcrafted at Swee Lee and take a minimum of six months to complete, while more intricate models can take up to two years. But knowing that the store draws design inspiration from models owned by only the creme de la creme of guitar players around the world including the likes of BB King, Eric Claption, John Lennon and Slash, the final finished product will be an absolute marvel to behold – even if it takes two whole years to wait. Gift must be purchased by 1 March 2019 and ordered by 1 July 2019. Please email ultimategift[email protected] sg for enquiries and to purchase.
