Kong Wan Sing, CEO, JustCo
JUSTCO IS SOUTHEAST ASIA’S largest premium flexible workspace provider. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Singapore, the US$200 million firm offers larger spaces for less thanks to strategic partnerships forged with prolific investors, such as GIC and Frasers Property.
Entrepreneurship has always been in Kong Wan Sing’s blood. His father led a textile business in Malaysia, supplying to retail behemoths such as Adidas and Nike. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in finance and information systems at NYU Stern School of Business in 1998, Kong moved to Boston to work for a now-defunct equity research website. After moving back to Singapore, he set up JustOffice in 2011. By 2015, JustOffice was billed as the biggest co-working space operator in downtown Singapore. JustCo expects to have over 50 central locations spanning across more than two million sq ft by the end of 2019 – more than doubling the network of locations from just a year ago.
In August, it was announced that the workspace provider is set to take over a 16-storey commercial building in Seoul’s Gangnam Business District. Kong says: “The beauty of the JustCo business model is that it integrates and connects members into one community, while at the same time providing them with the option of working independently.”
