Aston Martin V12 Vantage

-

THE GOOD NEWS is that the naturally aspirated Aston Martin V12 isn’t dead yet. The bad news is that you’ll only find it on a car you likely can’t have

(the Valkyrie) and one you can’t drive on the road

(the Vulcan). But what if you could get yourself what is quite possibly the most overlooked Aston Martin of recent years with a screaming atmospheric V12? Presenting the V12 Vantage. Its 5.9-litre V12 was the biggest engine at the time, and the Vantage the marque’s smallest car. As you can expect from a car with 573hp and such compact dimensions, it’s a recipe for hilarity.

The only catch is how the Vantage is showing its age, a snapshot of a company in flux. Its interior is unbefitting of a car with such an asking price and its automated manual gearbox, well, let’s just say it isn’t the smoothest thing around.
