Echoing McLaren’s design principles, the Tumi Aero International Expandable 4 Wheel Carry-On packs a different kind of punch for the race car-loving jet-setter.
The key similarity between the carry-on and a McLaren supercar? Both are designed to take you to places in style. In the luggage, you’ll also find a strap modelled on the six-point racing harnesses found in the automaker’s supercars and trackonly models, such as the limited-edition McLaren Senna GTR.
Since the announcement of their partnership in 2019, Tumi and McLaren have co-designed a premium capsule collection of elegant business, travel and everyday essentials. Each accessory has a simple, uncomplicated design, yet sporting a look that enhances all aspects of life on the move.
The Aero International Expandable 4 Wheel CarryOn is crafted from a hybrid of materials, including Tegris, a hard-wearing thermoplastic composite shell that’s usually found in race cars.
The luggage is part of a ninepiece capsule collection, which includes accessories like the Quantum Duffel, Velocity Backpack and Teron Travel Kit. Each of these draws design cues from McLaren’s bold supercars and race cars. The pieces also bear the automaker’s signature papaya orange colourway and feature CX6 carbon-fibre accents which give the accessories a sleek yet durable finish.
