Valentino takes its Rockstud series up a notch with the Craig Green x Valentino Garavani Rockstud X sneaker.
THE VALENTINO ROCKSTUD X sneaker has been given the Craig Green treatment – a collaboration that embodies the Italian fashion house’s design legacy streamlined with current footwear fads. This collaboration marks a decade of the Valentino Garavani Rockstud accessory collection, which has been widely celebrated for integrating architectural design into some of the label’s iconic creations. A series of high heels, sneakers, wallets and even chains have been given the Rockstud treatment over the years, but few to none have conjured up streetwear chic as much as the Rockstud X sneaker is able to.
This collaboration marks a decade of the Valentino Garavani Rockstud accessory collection.
Technicality and minimalism intersect in this collaboration. British fashion designer Green blends the sneaker with his inimitable design codes; its sole unit styled in true rockstud fashion with the top round decked in full studs, complemented with triangular rockstuds making up some of the outsole. A rubber band wraps around the shoe’s perimeter, with ‘Craig Green x Valentino Garavani’ printed on the lateral side.
Round laces finish the streetwear look, and the sneaker’s low-cut feature makes it easy to slip on. But don’t mistake the military stylelooking sneaker as unwieldy footwear; it is, in fact, crafted from finely woven mesh that’s breathable yet structural.
