A New Symphony
This year’s collection from Minotti marks the bridge between rationalism and brutalism, with pieces offering a modern design take on the midcentury spirit. Under the coordination of Rodolfo Dordoni with Minotti Studio and a team of international designers, this new collection injects mellow riffs on the functionalist style of Minotti’s pieces through reflective satin finishes, honey-coloured oak, a mix of leathers and the softness of textiles.
In the living room, the new Roger seating system provides a muchwelcome modularity. This Dordoni design with Minotti offers a trio of elements: the Roger Suite with its deep, cushioned seats; the Roger Spring, a Monobloc seat with fully quilted surface; and Roger Spring Sofa, an armless version. With this Roger collection, Minotti’s full repertoire of customisation comes into play; with high and low backrest options, different types of armrests and the option of adding elements such as tops and containers.
The application of couture-like skills is expressed with graphic quilting; long horizontal lines along the backrests; and a sophisticated, soft feel to surfaces. The entire Roger range also includes three coffee tables, which provide storage compartments with aluminium linings, satin finishes and an external frame in a dark brown-stained palisander Santos.
