Situated at the western end of the Riau Islands, Nirup is being transformed into an idyllic sanctuary for city dwellers who would like to escape the hustle and bustle. Surrounded by crystal clear water and a rich marine ecosystem, the island is being developed by PT Citra Buana Prakarsa with design consultant KulörGroup. It will be home to The Riahi Residences, a five-star MGallery hotel and a private marina managed by One°15. The residential collection comprises 41 villas with sizes ranging from a 67.81sqm one-bedroom unit to a 641.25sqm four-bedroom duplex. KulörGroup’s unusual design of the buildings was inspired by the nomadic sea peoples of the surrounding islands. Riahi is part of Accor’s MGallery collection, which means that owners can participate in the Accor Ownership Benefits programme. Plus, villa owners who have their own yacht can berth their vessel at One°15 Marina, which also has an integrated club house, a sea sports centre and fuelling and bunkering services.

With a length of 222m and a gross registered tonnage of 33,500, this superyacht will be the world’s largest when it’s delivered by Norwegian shipyard, Vard, in mid-2024. It will have 39 apartments ranging in size from 182sqm to 963sqm spread across six decks. Each apartment can be customised to suit its owner, who will work with one of the three design companies – Tillberg Design of Sweden, Winch Design or Luttenberger Design – on room configurations as well as to select the materials, furniture, lighting and artwork. Bespoke features such as a gym, personal kitchen and library as well as indoor and outdoor dining areas can also be incorporated. Residents can avail themselves of the amenities and service of a six-star hotel, including full concierge services, two restaurants and a 10,000-bottle wine cellar and tasting room, all while exploring the four corners of the globe at a relaxed, luxurious pace.
