In addition to time, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos Hybrid Mechanica Calibre 590 (€500,000 and limited to 10 pieces) keeps track of the Earth and Moon relative to the Sun, as well as their own rotations and hence moonphase and day/night. There are additional indicators for month, season and zodiac sign as well. Its 443-component movement took some four years to develop, and, like all Atmos clocks, it is powered only by the temperature changes of its surroundings – meaning it never needs winding.
