ONE WORD TO DESCRIBE THE HOUSE
Serene.
WHAT INSPIRED THE DESIGN OF THE HOUSE? “The natural world – and specifically the beauty of the quintessential English garden.” A FEATURE THAT MAKES THE HOUSE UNIQUE “The dramatic changes made to the house. We created more space upwards and downwards by adding a floor in the roof space and excavating a basement. We also installed a new stone staircase and large skylight, and completely reconfigured the layout of each of the five floors.” PART OF THE HOUSE THAT TOOK THE MOST TIME OR EFFORT TO DESIGN “We spent a great deal of time refining the new staircase balustrade. Its classical and contemporary design fits perfectly for the overall balance of old and new in the interior.” YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE HOUSE AND WHY “The wallpapers throughout are a favourite detail, most especially in the powder room and master bedroom. The workmanship is extraordinarily beautiful.”
