Renaissance Planners & Designers
Proof that less can be more, this modern minimalist bungalow with an angular exterior silhouette inspired by Nordic and Brutalist architecture is the brainchild of Kelvin Bing, design director of Renaissance Planners & Designers, whose clients gave him free reign over their Crescent Road residence. Home to a couple with two young children, it exemplifies understated opulence with its black marble flooring, minimal decoration and ample use of glass—which cleverly reveals the serene glow of the lap pool as well as the tropical foliage outside. The sleek, modern design elements pair handsomely with the home’s state-of-the-art entertainment equipment and contemporary furnishings, while rich textures, mahogany wood accents, Eames lounge chairs and upholstery in an earthy palette exude lived-in luxury and warmth.
