Thanks to the internet, global mapping systems and innovations like Airbnb, tailoring a travel itinerary to suit your unique preferences has never been easier. Not many individuals or travel agencies, however, could ever plan epic voyages with the same panache as Quotient Travelplanner.

Founded in 2007 by Javiny Lim and Lim Hui Juan, Quotient is a pioneer in the local bespoke travel industry. In just over a decade, the company has expanded into Taiwan, partnered with National Geographic for the institution’s first live event in Singapore, and maintained a constant presence on Singapore Tatler’s Best of Singapore list since 2010. Through Quotient’s efforts to create transformative and inspiring journeys, it has continuously adapted to the industry’s fast-changing trends. It will launch its standalone app in 2020, which will enhance clients’ on-trip experience and provide timely communications and services on the fly.

It will also embark on its first smallgroup trips led by co-founder Javiny Lim. These will include golf-themed itineraries that are increasingly in demand, and cruising along the closed off Transfagaran Highway in Romania that’s hailed as the best road in the world by former Top Gear presenter, Jeremy Clarkson. Quotient is also working with its partners worldwide to increase focus on sustainable tourism, for example, minimising single-use items on its trips.

Perhaps Quotient’s greatest accomplishment is its in-depth knowledge of its clientele, who are far from being content with oft-taken paths. To its co-founders, “fussiness” is a virtue rather than a fault, and the duo takes great pride in understanding each traveller’s preferences and repeatedly exploding their expectations with exclusive, oncein-a-lifetime experiences.
