“The addition of subtle grey lines across the inner face of the watch lends a technical feel to the overall design.”

“It uses its square face to effect by inscribing a round watch face, which stretches to the very edges of its square case. This has the effect of making the watch face “project” itself at you and is immediately visually arresting.”

“My main concern would be how it sits on the wrist— would it appear natural or would it seem more like a well-designed clock strapped to your wrist?”

“The watch hands provide a counterpoint that culminates in the most active part of the watch—the luminescent yellow second-hand in an unusual form that resembles a sickle or hammer.”

“The watch face design is a study of graphical symmetry, whereby a nought is added to the single hour digit so that every digit is visually balanced. Not one hour of the day is emphasised more than any other.”

“The watch definitely appears to be more experimental and graphically avant-garde. Immediately identifiable by its squarish case and distinctively set albeit visually undersized lugs.”

“This is certainly for someone with more than one watch as the fine-craftsmanship and the pure lines lend themselves easily to scuffs and knocks in dayto-day living, and would immediately tarnish the pristine and carefully balanced nature of the design.”
