Singapore Tatler Jewels & Time
IN CELEBRATION
Since The Hour Glass opened its first boutique in 1979, it has been working towards deepening the horological knowledge of the masses, not least its clientele. To celebrate its 40th anniversary, the luxury watch retailer will organise an exhibition at Malmaison in November, showcasing objets d’art that reveal people’s relationship with time. Big-name artists such as Daniel Arsham and Marc Newson have been commissioned for these projects after a selection process by a committee made up of architect David Adjaye, watch specialist Aurel Bacs and Michael Tay, group managing director of The Hour Glass. At the exhibition will be a selection of special-edition watches by its long-term partners such as Audemars Piguet, MB&F, and Ulysse Nardin.
