CHAGALL, LISSITZKY, MALEVITCH. THE RUSSIAN AVANTGARDE IN VITEBSK (1918-1922)
Marc Chagall, El Lissitzky and Kasimir Malevitch are three of the Russian avantgarde’s most emblematic figures. Grouping together some 250 of their works and unpublished documents for the first time, the wide-ranging exhibition pays homage to their oeuvres, as well as to other artists from the Vitebsk School, which grew from Chagall’s appointment 100 years ago as fine arts commissioner for the Vitebsk region in modern-day Belarus. centrepompidou.fr
