LET’S EAT

Singapore Tatler - - EDITOR’S NOTE - — Terence Lim Editor

ood is far from mere sustenance—it is emotional and personal. It also has the special ability to bring people together and often, it is also at the centre of our fondest memories. It definitely plays a key role in my life and memories. That is why I know that the best food isn’t only found within the elegant confines of a fine-dining restaurant but also in the casual hole in the wall. I am as excited slurping down a plate of pad thai by the roadside as I am savouring sushi at one of Tokyo’s top-notch restaurants. I keep a list of food experiences to try, and I want to share some of them with you here. Hungry for more? The following pages detail culinary success stories and the most influential names in Asia’s food scene, as well as the next must-visit restaurant in China. Enjoy the gastronomic spread we have put together in our Food and Drink special!
