Singapore's Top Restaurants - - Editor's Note -

It was a mam­moth task to dine our way through alpmhoot­sot :4C0R0EAOTFURES Sin­ga­pore’s top restau­rants—some of them twice or more. In the process, we came to fully ap­pre­ci­ate the im­mense ef­fort and work that go into the mak­ing of a top restau­rant.

For the peo­ple be­hind the restau­rants fea­tured in this book, work­ing in the F&B in­dus­try is more than just a job. It de­mands pas­sion and com­mit­ment and in­cred­i­ble amounts of hard work. Yet, it of­ten comes with lowly pay-offs that make one won­der why one is still in the busi­ness.

But for those of us on the re­ceiv­ing end, ev­ery iota of ef­fort shows—in the im­mac­u­late set­tings we ad­mire; in friendly, thought­ful ser­vice that makes a visit mem­o­rable; and above all, in the art on the plate.

This book is not just a roll call of the top restau­rants in town; it is also a cel­e­bra­tion of the peo­ple be­hind them. In the months to come, we will be get­ting up close and per­sonal with the teams be­hind some of Sin­ga­pore’s top restau­rants on toprestau­ Hear their thoughts and in­spi­ra­tions, and find out what goes into the mak­ing of a top chef and a top restau­rant.
