Singapore's Top Restaurants - - Note from E2i -

It al­most seems like a dream job—din­ing in Sin­ga­pore’s best restau­rants, tast­ing dishes from myr­iad cuisines pre­pared by tal­ented and ded­i­cated chefs. What many do not see, how­ever, is the amount of work that went into pre­par­ing a guide of this scale. While we dine to en­joy the ex­pe­ri­ence, the Wine & Dine team had a dif­fer­ent pur­pose. For the past few months, they rig­or­ously an­a­lysed ev­ery sin­gle de­tail of their din­ing ex­pe­ri­ences—from the am­bi­ence of the restau­rant and ser­vice of its team, to the pre­sen­ta­tion and taste of the food—to bring us a pres­ti­gious, highly cu­rated guide. Like­wise, in the food in­dus­try. An in­cred­i­ble amount of prepa­ra­tion goes into cre­at­ing an ex­cel­lent din­ing ex­pe­ri­ence. Sin­ga­pore’s rep­u­ta­tion as a din­ing par­adise did not come easy. It took sac­ri­fice from those in the F&B in­dus­try— hours spent in the kitchen, time away from fam­ily and friends, and years of ded­i­ca­tion to the culi­nary arts or restau­rant man­age­ment. I would like to con­grat­u­late the restau­rants that are fea­tured in this year’s guide. I also thank the Wine & Dine team for bring­ing us yet an­other edi­tion of Sin­ga­pore’s Top Restau­rants and shin­ing the spot­light on our flour­ish­ing F&B in­dus­try. In tan­dem with Sin­ga­pore’s food ser­vices in­dus­try trans­for­ma­tion map to trans­form the in­dus­try into one that is tech­nol­ogy-en­abled, with good jobs and of­fer­ing di­verse din­ing op­tions, I be­lieve that the lo­cal F&B scene has the po­ten­tial to reach even greater heights. e2i is also cur­rently work­ing in part­ner­ship with Wine & Dine to launch Sin­ga­pore's Top Cafes, a guide to recog­nise cafes that have done well in their re­spec­tive do­mains. Both guides will pro­vide read­ers with in­for­ma­tion and rec­om­men­da­tions to our ever-grow­ing food par­adise.
