A note from e2i
It almost seems like a dream job—dining in Singapore’s best restaurants, tasting dishes from myriad cuisines prepared by talented and dedicated chefs. What many do not see, however, is the amount of work that went into preparing a guide of this scale. While we dine to enjoy the experience, the Wine & Dine team had a different purpose. For the past few months, they rigorously analysed every single detail of their dining experiences—from the ambience of the restaurant and service of its team, to the presentation and taste of the food—to bring us a prestigious, highly curated guide. Likewise, in the food industry. An incredible amount of preparation goes into creating an excellent dining experience. Singapore’s reputation as a dining paradise did not come easy. It took sacrifice from those in the F&B industry— hours spent in the kitchen, time away from family and friends, and years of dedication to the culinary arts or restaurant management. I would like to congratulate the restaurants that are featured in this year’s guide. I also thank the Wine & Dine team for bringing us yet another edition of Singapore’s Top Restaurants and shining the spotlight on our flourishing F&B industry. In tandem with Singapore’s food services industry transformation map to transform the industry into one that is technology-enabled, with good jobs and offering diverse dining options, I believe that the local F&B scene has the potential to reach even greater heights. e2i is also currently working in partnership with Wine & Dine to launch Singapore's Top Cafes, a guide to recognise cafes that have done well in their respective domains. Both guides will provide readers with information and recommendations to our ever-growing food paradise. Lastly, I hope you enjoy reading the reviews by Wine & Dine in this year’s Singapore's Top Restaurants and uncover new dining experiences in Singapore.
