For the fourth year in a row, Sin­ga­pore’s Top Restau­rants has part­nered Som­me­lier As­so­ci­a­tion of Sin­ga­pore for Wine List Awards to recog­nise es­tab­lish­ments that pro­mote Sin­ga­pore's wine cul­ture and raise the bar within the F&B in­dus­try.

SUB­MIS­SION

Es­tab­lish­ments fea­tured in the guide were in­vited to sub­mit their food and wine menus, along with de­tails on their col­lec­tion such as the num­ber of labels in their wine list and bot­tles in cel­lar.

EVAL­U­A­TION AND GRADING

En­tries were grouped into three cat­e­gories based on the size of the restau­rant's list—251 labels and above; 101 to 250 labels; and 0 to 100 labels—then judged on a va­ri­ety of fac­tors in­clud­ing di­ver­sity of pro­duc­ers and vin­tages fea­tured; di­ver­sity and bal­ance of wine styles, and breadth of wines and price range.

Each list was con­sid­ered within its own cat­e­gory and scored “blind” to en­sure a fair as­sess­ment—i.e. panel­lists did not know which restau­rants they were scor­ing. Each list was scored by at least three panel­lists, and the score de­ter­mined by the ag­gre­gate and a fi­nal com­mit­tee eval­u­a­tion.
