Lei Garden
Lei Garden is situated in the colonial building of Chijmes, overlooking a gorgeous garden which sets the mood for a fine Chinese feast. Start with the crispy roast pork, which is tender and with the perfect meat-to-fat ratio. For something nutritious and full of flavour, the braised bird’s nest has a smooth texture that’s balanced beautifully with the sweet crabmeat and minced chicken. Seafood aficionados, don’t miss the poached geoduck clam in lobster soup. The succulent clam is fresh, delectable and served with a robust lobster broth that simply elevates the dish. Another notable option is the grilled kurobuta pork. The chop is seasoned well and cooked over the grill; it adds a beautiful smoky flavour and depth. The wine list covers the old and new world as well as Chinese wines, but house pours are extremely limited. Staff are knowledgeable about each item on the menu, but you may encounter difficulty conversing if you don’t speak Putonghua.
