The food at Bistro du Vin is prepared well and with great care. One of the must-try dishes here is the beef cheek braised “grandmère” (grandmothe­r-style)—the cheek is dark and almost impossibly rich, stewed until you can tear it apart with a spoon. Paired with softly whipped potato, the beef is an absolute delight. Do as the French do and order a carafe of wine to share with your dining companion—ask your waiter for a recommenda­tion from the extensive list. Finish off the meal with the Grand Marnier soufflé that is so light it dissolves on your tongue.
