Boca high­lights Por­tuguese cuisine with Mediter­ranean in­flu­ences. A pot of Bul­hão Pato aro­matic steamed clams, suc­cu­lently sweet, can be fur­ther en­joyed by mop­ping up the white wine, lemon and co­rian­der broth with thickly sliced crusty bread. Cured cod­fish la­gareiro with gar­lic, potato and spinach is dressed gen­er­ously with olive oil. The roasted suck­ling pig is served on a large wooden plat­ter, ac­com­pa­nied by green salad, potato crisps, orange wedges and a se­cret sauce. Dainty egg tarts are en­tic­ingly rich, creamy and pleas­antly sweet. A list of Por­tuguese wines (in­clud­ing for­ti­fied port) also fea­tures san­gria and other re­gional bev­er­ages. Sit­u­ated in a three-storey shop­house, the dark blue, white and black decor in­cor­po­rates a wall mu­ral of the iconog­ra­phy of Por­tu­gal, in­clud­ing foot­ball, black swal­lows and a Cristo Rei statue, fac­ing a bar counter and open kitchen ar­eas.
