This restau­rant is typ­i­cally filled with lo­cals seek­ing a not-widely-avail­able cuisine, as well as gour­mands who keep com­ing back for a hearty meal. Dishes here are fill­ing and flavour­ful, and go be­yond the steak op­tions one would ex­pect from other Ar­gen­tinian restau­rants. A good start is the grilled wa­ter­melon and to­mato salad, which comes with a lus­cious wild gar­lic pesto and pine nuts. It whets the ap­petite for the ojo de bife, a 300g rib-eye steak that should ideally be had medium-rare so that its rel­a­tively fatty meat re­mains juicy and pink­ish. Those din­ing in pairs can af­ford to take on an­other great beef dish—the beef and bone mar­row burger, which uses a gen­er­ous por­tion of braised ox cheek for a ten­der and sat­is­fy­ing bite ev­ery time. The restau­rant also has a nice se­lec­tion of al­co­holic bev­er­ages, in­clud­ing Ar­gen­tinian wines and tasty cock­tails us­ing liqueurs from var­i­ous parts of South Amer­ica. The ex­pe­ri­ence is com­pleted by the beau­ti­fully cosy, vin­tage set­ting with an ex­ten­sive use of wood.
