Lingzhi dis­pels the com­mon per­cep­tion of veg­e­tar­ian food be­ing overly starchy and made of fried gluten. The new menu fea­tures the likes of crispy rice cakes with Sin­ga­pore-style chilli sauce, veg­e­tar­ian satay with fresh pineap­ple and veg­e­tar­ian goose, and crispy tofu skin with pan­cake. The chilli sauce for the rice cakes is mildly spicy, and is sim­i­lar to that used in the chilli crab at lo­cal seafood joints. The peanut sauce is well-con­cocted, bear­ing a close re­sem­blance to that which is served with meat-based sa­tays. Tak­ing ref­er­ence from Pek­ing duck, the crispy tofu skin rep­re­sents the meat in that dish, wrapped in reg­u­lar flour pan­cakes.
