National Kitchen’s menu, which offers predominantly Peranakan cuisine and a handful of local favourites such as chicken rice and chilli crab, is a reflection of our nation’s gastronomic fabric, woven over many generations. Even though no pork or lard is used in the cooking so as to broaden the appeal of the restaurant, the food delivers on most fronts, with some modern interpretations of the Nonya genre such as buah keluak tossed in pasta. The service here is polished and smart, making this an excellent venue to host foreign visitors or for corporate entertainment.
