You’ll get one of the most de­li­cious and au­then­tic pael­las at chef Daniel Chavez’s restau­rant—but be pre­pared to pay a lit­tle more than usual. The high­light of the menu (and a crowd favourite) is the tra­di­tional Mar i Mun­tanya—span­ish rice served in a pan, topped gen­er­ously with prawns and lob­ster. Packed with flavour, the dish will have you savour­ing ev­ery last bit. There are numer­ous seafood op­tions served tapasstyle to go with your paella. The gam­bas fea­ture fresh, plump tiger prawns roasted in an aro­matic gar­lic oil, with dried chilli for a lit­tle bit of kick; the pulpo is grilled Span­ish oc­to­pus that’s ten­der, suc­cu­lent and slightly smoky. Do check out the daily sea­sonal spe­cials; the fish served here is line-caught and cer­ti­fied sus­tain­able. Span­ish bot­tles dom­i­nate the wine list, but the by-the-glass op­tions are more var­ied. The am­bi­ence is lively and the ser­vice is top-notch.
