The Pel­i­can is the place to go for Amer­i­can East Coast cui­sine, right in the heart of Sin­ga­pore’s CBD. For ap­pe­tis­ers, the old­fash­ioned crab cakes are de­light­fully packed with chunks of de­li­ciously fresh crab­meat in­side a thin, crispy bat­ter.

The snap­per pie is both com­fort­ing and rich; its but­tery crust is light and flaky, and redo­lent with the aroma of deboned snap­per, as­para­gus, mush­rooms and truf­fle oil. The pan-fried bar­ra­mundi hits the spot as a healthy op­tion that’s per­fectly seared and driz­zled with a light broth. The Pel­i­can Burger & Lob­ster ar­rives on an im­pres­sive plat­ter with grilled lob­ster in a but­tery sauce and a burger that’s ooz­ing with melted cheese and caramelise­d ba­con. The wine list of­fers a de­cent se­lec­tion fea­tur­ing more than 60 la­bels, mostly from new world pro­duc­ers. Over­all, the ser­vice is knowl­edge­able, warm and at­ten­tive.
