South Asian opu­lence is taste­fully ex­pressed in the decor of this stal­wart that con­tin­ues to im­press. The lunch buf­fet spread in­di­cates a com­mit­ment to qual­ity; ev­ery dish is pre­pared à la minute and ev­ery few min­utes, a staff mem­ber from the kitchen will re­plen­ish the dishes on the counter. As be­fit­ting the In­dian culi­nary cul­ture, the se­lec­tion of veg­e­tar­ian dishes is ex­ten­sive and so en­tic­ing that it’s dif­fi­cult, even for sea­soned car­ni­vores, to ig­nore. The av­o­cado ke­bab is a prime ex­am­ple—gen­er­ous in its creamy tex­ture and rich in flavour, it’s ac­cented by just the right amount of spices and tan­door oven smok­i­ness. Both the murgh tikka masala and the tan­doori lamb chops are lips­mack­ing; their tangy, pi­quant mari­nade has been worked through the roasted meat, giv­ing them a silky, flaky tex­ture with each bite. The meats are full of nat­u­ral flavour yet shy away from gami­ness, and the heat from the chilli is just enough to help el­e­vate the aro­mas of the spice rubs.
