Long Beach @ Dempsey Seafood Restaurant
This casual dining spot in the Dempsey Hill enclave is known for its seafood— quite obvious once you step inside the spacious interiors, which are lined with fish tanks brimming with live fish, crustaceans and more. The go-to dishes here are anything with crab—specifically the famous black pepper crab and the Sri Lankan chilli crab. For something different (and delicious), the white pepper Alaskan king crab has the succulent flesh seasoned with just the right amount of spice. Want more? Another must-order is the live Canadian geoduck sashimi with superior stock steamboat—you can eat it raw or blanch it in the savoury soup. The restaurant is also known for its personable service, with friendly staff always attentive to diners’ needs and who go the extra mile to give you the best dining experience.
Unlike the Sri Lankan crab, the Alaskan crab is much heftier in size, so don’t be shy to tell the staff if you’d like to have it cooked in different styles: we suggest with pepper and chilli.
