Sinfonia Risorante
Agood option for a quiet romantic dinner, Sinfonia Ristorante affords diners the luxury of privacy, even in the setting of a large dining room. The restaurant serves refined but unfussy Italian fare that packs a flavourful punch—nearly everything we tried was delicious. The standout by far is the truffle chicken liver brulée, which has the rich umami flavour of good foie gras, minus the gaminess. The marine freshness of sea urchin with Alaskan king crab, rice rolls and salmon roe provides an excellent counterpoint to the liver. The dish of saffron risotto with wagyu beef, while an unexpected combination, is perfectly balanced; the meaty punch of the braised wagyu pairs nicely with the subtlety of the saffron. The three-style roasted cabbage with sour cream and herbs is possibly one of the best vegetarian dishes in town, with a good charred flavour that tempers the creaminess of the sour cream.
