Tatler Dining Singapore

BASILICO

For a light meal or snack for two, the oven-baked focaccia is redolent with fresh black summer truffles and oozing with Robiola cheese in every bite. The main course, which is simply labelled Mixed Meat for Two, is a theatrical stunner. Grilled beef tenderloin, lamb chops, bombette (cheese rolled in wagyu) and roasted vegetables are served in a straw nest within a large bowl encased within a pastry crust—it’s both impressive and tasty. After dinner, the dessert buffet tempts with its numerous Italian and international creations, but the highlight has to be the cheese room, which houses the largest selection of delectable Italian farm cheese in Singapore.
