The carbonara is a standout dish; it has a bit of a unique aftertaste thanks to the caramelise­d onions, while the al dente pasta, bits of ham and pork belly add a duality of crunchy and tender textures to the dish. The pizza is actually a flatbread, served with toppings of salami and prosciutto, which has a tangy kick. From the extensive wine list, which features a sizeable selection of Italian wines, the staff may recommend a glass of pinot grigio that pairs well with the meal, as does the Lavo Mule, a concoction of vodka, lemon and ginger.
