Tatler Dining Singapore

Crystal Jade Dining In

Within a busy shopping mall near Sentosa, this restaurant is a popular dining option for locals and tourists who want to get their fix of delicious Cantonese food. Start the meal with the double-boiled soup; it brims with soft and savoury sea whelk and morel mushrooms, and is served piping hot to warm up the appetite. Another favourite is the deep-fried scallop, which is lightly seasoned to let its sweetness shine through, and served with taro puff. Good for sharing are the pan-fried kurobuta pork chop, which is utterly tender and generously drizzled with sweet teriyaki sauce, and the baked crab shell stuffed with seafood paste. The fresh chunks of crab are covered with an ambrosial, creamy seafood paste that’s delicious and leaves diners wanting more. There aren’t many choices when it comes to alcoholic beverages here, but the restaurant allows guests to bring their own wine for a minimal fee.
