Chinese cuisine is Peach Garden’s forte.

For an appetising starter, the fried crispy eggplant is presented in meaty strips, sprinkled generously with small pieces of light fluffy pork floss. An individual bowl of double-boiled shark bone cartilage soup also contains soft golden fish maw and fragrant bamboo pith. One speciality is the steamed mian xian (thin white vermicelli noodles) with sweet baby lobster in its bright pink shell, served in a light, sweet broth and enhanced by a dash of aromatic hua diao wine. For a refreshing dessert, the chilled squares of jelly royale, served in a coconut, are sweet and cooling, with julienne of coconut providing a crunchy textural contrast. The extensive wine list includes a red and white house pour by the glass. Hospitable service is provided at this 240-seat spacious restaurant in Singapore’s northern area, overlooking the green open spaces at Orchid Country Club.
