Kinki Restaurant + Bar
Overlooking Marina Bay, Kinki is frequented by the after-work crowd in Shenton Way for its inspired cocktails and modern Japanese cuisine. Some traditionalists perceive this hip Shinjuku-inspired bar-restaurant as the “bad boy” on the block, but it’s admired by many for its experimental fare. Perennial favourites include the tai carpaccio and the unagi with Hokkaido scallop sushi, which are highly recommended for their fresh, zingy tang. Other exciting options include the pomegranate miso cod and the foie gras with scallop sushi. Cocktails are a speciality here, with a decent selection of sake and shochu augmenting the beverage list. Service is warm and genuine, though on a packed night it will require a tad of patience.
