Agarden theme extends throughout this long-established restaurant with 12 private rooms, surrounded by lush greenery. Black pepper crab, with its exalted status, is said to be an original Long Beach creation. Sri Lankan crab is fried and smothered in a rich black pepper sauce that is delightfully aromatic and flavourful. Delicately steamed live Scottish razor clams provide sweet succulence with a taste of the ocean. With its firm yet flaky texture, the mild flavour of deep-fried live red grouper is enlivened by Thai-style accompaniments, including mango and chilli, for distinctively aromatic and gently sweet, spicy, overtones. Meat eaters are not overlooked, either, with Chinese-style chicken, duck and pork dishes available. A small beverage list includes wines from Europe, China and Japan. Service staff are knowledgeable about the large variety of seafood, making suggestions and providing assistance cheerfully.
