The all-day dining restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel, situated within the bustling shopping district that is Orchard, was given a lovely makeover this past year. Its new interior design recalls a French garden, while the new menu remains rooted in both the East and West—or, more accurately, East Asia and Provence. The chefs here have the tough task of fashioning a cohesive menu that sticks to the theme while still catering to every kind of guest that might walk through the hotel’s doors. That means a local selection is still a must here— and we dare say that the laksa is fabulous. Still, the team does an excellent job in fashioning a produce-driven fusion menu that’s both delicious and creative without being overly challenging. The snacks, in particular, are worth sampling, especially the spicy tuna and avocado served on crispychewy grilled rice cakes. All in all, One-ninety remains an oasis of calm and elegance, now with even more exciting food choices.
