Hai Tien Lo
The menu offers traditional dishes with a contemporary flair; standouts include delicious creations such as the braised homemade beancurd with minced pork and pine mushrooms in signature homemade XO chilli sauce, and the hearty double-boiled chicken soup with abalone, dried scallops, fresh prawn and Chinese mushroom. It’s served in a young coconut with the refreshing fragrance of coconut pulp. Look out for interesting twists in the dishes; for example, the chilled passion fruit and pomelo sorbet dessert is served with spicy rice crackers for added texture and flavour. Even on a busy weekend, the friendly, mostly long-serving staff, are enthusiastic. The alcoholic beverage selection is modest, but their teas such as the signature Hai Tien No. 1 and Rose Aged Pu Er are not be missed.
