A throwback to the great American steakhouse­s of the past, this restaurant is the place for an elegant premium steak dinner. Start with succulent broiled Nova Scotia lobster tails, which are simply served with fresh lemon and drawn butter. Another old school favourite is the traditiona­l lump crab cakes with a crispy crust. For mains, the California Cut is a superb Prime Rib dinner for a smaller appetite. The freshly sliced steak comes with a serving of spinning bowl salad, creamy Idaho mashed potatoes and Yorkshire pudding with gravy. For diners with robust appetite, the Austige Wagyu striploin—with a marbling score of 6—is deliciousl­y seared and served with seasonal vegetables, Idaho mashed potatoes and a choice of black pepper, mushroom, béarnaise or yakiniku sauce. The service here is excellent and the wine list includes choices that pair well with steaks.
