Le Bon Funk is a great restaurant option, no matter what the occasion is. It’s a pleasant place to be—a warm and welcoming vibe permeates the air, friendly and excellent staff are quick to attend to guests, and chef-owner Keirin Buck is ready with his hearty menus. His skill and creativity are evident in the variety of small plates and mains (big enough to share), masterfull­y crafted from the season’s best bounty. Take, for example, the deceptivel­y simple starter of whole globe artichoke with bursts of earthy, garlicky and zingy flavours from the aioli and vinaigrett­e. The ever-changing menu is complement­ed by head sommelier Jos Kjer’s extensive wine list, and is full of delightful surprises.
