Sophistica­ted but convivial, Osia is one of the best places for a family meal or a gathering of friends. The menu is built around the freshest ingredient­s from the Australian and the Pacific Rim, with an emphasis on seafood and sharing platters. The signature seafood platter for two can comfortabl­y feed four people, while the servings of expertly grilled meat and fish start at a generous 300 grams. Menu winners include the colossal 1.5kg Stockyard beef Angus tomahawk ribeye, pasture-fed New Zealand lamb rack, Mayura Station’s Matsusaka full-blood Wagyu ribeye, and New Zealand king salmon. The menu also offers plenty of room for personalis­ation—you can choose from classic red wine sauce, horseradis­h sour cream or mushroom and black pepper sauce— and opt for an additional portion of sauce. The menu also changes every three months, with new twists to the sauces, sides and flatbreads made fresh in the stone hearth oven.
