While highly rated by critics and culinary connoisseurs, this intimate restaurant still manages to fly under the radar. Upon entering the dining area, prepare to be transported to what feels like a private home in France. In essence, it’s a home—a reflection of the personality and hospitality of owners chef Jeremy Gillion and managing director Anant Tyagi. There’s no fixed menu, rather dishes are dictated by the seasons and flavoured with wild-foraged herbs from Savoie, an Alpine region in France. The dinner degustation features eight of the 44 herbs they have onsite, used very creatively. Be it the blue swimmer crab with a smoked bell pepper sorbet or the quail with fermented soya bean pesto, every plate is deliciously cooked and beautifully presented. There are delightful additions such as tonburi (field caviar), which is served tableside. The service here is excellent—from the banter of the staff, the ingenious detail of serving a warm broth to transition to the warm courses. These thoughtful touches make for an unforgettable meal.
